The much-awaited Galaxy Z TriFold is now available for purchase at Samsung’s official store for a whopping $2,899. Yes, that’s an eye-watering price for sure, but we expected more.
Unlike previous launches, there don’t seem to be any trade-in discounts or bundle deals, but you can get a bunch of discounted services. Samsung is also offering limited-time subscriptions to its Health Premium program, Adobe Lightroom, and Google Gemini, to name a few.
The Samsung Galaxy Z TriFold is now available
Samsung’s most impressive foldable yet
Watch it open
The Samsung Galaxy Z TriFold feels like the culmination of everything Samsung has learned since the company first released its foldable devices. We got a first-hand look at the TriFold at CES 2026, and it’s a surprisingly thin, relatively light device that’s almost a 10-inch tablet. It’s a wonderful reminder of how far folding can come in just a few years, and it could replace a phone for both. again your tablet.
Much of that success comes down to thoughtful engineering. The TriFold uses a dual-hinged design that fully protects the flexible display when folded. With it open, the device lies almost completely flat, with no visible creases and a screen ready for multitasking, productivity, and even acting as a second PC display. Both the 6.5-inch cover screen and the extended internal display are bright, responsive, and perfectly suited to Samsung Galaxy AI features, which benefit significantly from the extra screen real estate.
Under the hood, the TriFold shares many of the same components as the Fold 7. It features the Galaxy’s Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset, 16GB of RAM, 512GB of storage, and a 200MP primary camera with ultrawide and telephoto lenses. These are pretty much flagship-level specs, so expect pretty good performance here, though we won’t fully report on that until we’ve tested the device in more detail. Stay tuned for our full review.
