I’m Getting Back Into My Pandemic Hairstyle So Here’s Everything I’ve Been Using On My Hair Lately

When we were all cozying up during lockdown the biggest beauty trend was skin care. Everyone was taking really good care of their skin. I was the only one doing a full makeup beat while walking around the house in PJs. I don’t know, it just made the chaos feel normal at the time. But yes, everyone was very fixated on face and sheet masks, moisturizers, eye creams, etc…etc..! Self-care is buying anything and everything for your skin (and your body!). We all handled that time in our own way.

I have always been a skincare lover but when the pandemic hit I started focusing more on hair care. I don’t know where it came from but within the second week of the closure I became Miss Haircare. This from a girl with really long, unruly, curly hair that she usually slicks back in a bun to keep it out of her face. Like, here I am doing very little with my hair during a normal work week but during the hell of a pandemic, I was Jesus Christ the Star doing all kinds of things. Crown braids, beautifully styled buns, my hair has been the runway for most of my hair looks. What a time to live.

Lately, I’ve had a lot of time on my hands so I’ve been playing around with different hair care products and trying different things with my hair. I started following a few hairdressers and artists as well. Especially James is on my list that I prepared because he is looking for Thai players. Bas and Tonliew’s hair is my Roman empire and James is responsible for that goodness. Bas’s hair is always so cute though! Not a day goes by that this man doesn’t have good hair. Thank you, James! We love doing all the cute hairstyles now, can you please do mine!?

Also, I’m still going to try really hard to convince myself not to chop off all of mine one day and just get the pixie cut I’ve been dreaming of. It won’t happen but you know, a girl can dream. Did I cut it? At the moment it’s down to my waist so I need some of it cut off. Maybe I can go all Carol Brady with a little flip mullet? I’m kidding. Let’s not get too crazy.

And of course, I was a year old when I realized that Lisa Price was back with Carol’s Daughter. Who knew this? Because I didn’t. PS Why aren’t the formulas as good as they used to be? This moan! But really, it’s still part of my list. It’s not as good as it used to be but I’m still Carol’s Dark Vanilla Daughter! It made the list today because it still smells good (I wish I could say the same about the Hair Milk!). It’s been a while but I started using this again recently and I forgot how much I loved the Black Vanilla Leave-In Conditioner Spray! It makes my hair so soft!

Here are some things I put in my hair!

And my current hair care obsession….! Adwaa beauty! Love, love, love everything I’ve tried in this brand! But my favorite of the two is Melonberry Vitamin C Frizz-Fighting Hair Gel which is a god send for humid weather. It is a soft, watery gel that absorbs easily into the hair. It doesn’t leave hair feeling dry or frizzy but it does manage and condition hair while keeping hair soft! What magic is this!? A must have if you are a gel user. Melonberry Hair Milk Leave-In Conditioner is one of my favorites from Adwoa. This is a great ride. Detang, soften, and keep hair from frizzing. My hair is full of this! If you have dry hair this is a star treatment.

Listen, I don’t want to be a fake and sure girl, I love Briogeo Be Gentle, Be Kind Avocado + Kiwi Mega Moisture Superfoods Hair Mask but, sometimes you find love in something new! Who else is my love? Gisou Honey Gloss Ceramide Therapy Hydrating Hair Mask! Take my $42! Just pick it up (or grab a mini for $22)! This is some kind of witchcraft! I don’t know what happens when I use this but my hair goes from Hermione Year 1 to Hermione I’m Going to the Yule Ball with Viktor Krum. It makes my hair incredibly shiny but also, so smooth and slick it looks like a wet seal. Good stuff!

You know I’m a lazy girl when it comes to hair sometimes! Taking it back is my jour soup hairstyle. I love the new Briogeo Style + Treat Yuzu + Plum Oil Hair Styling Sleek Stick! Amazing by just slipping through the hair so it’s easy to put your hair back and go. It’s non-sticky and non-sticky and leaves hair soft but still manageable. Best of all, it doesn’t build up and rinses clean at the end of the day!

This isn’t really new but it has become a staple in my hair routine that I have to love again! I’m talking about dae’s Cactus Fruit 3-in-1 Styling Cream! First of all it makes your hair smell great! Kind of sweet and fresh! Very pretty. But it also smoothes hair and hydrates like a boss! This is much better than using a gel that can leave a lot of residue.

What is your current hairstyle? Tell me about it.
