La La Anthony for beauty, representation and confidence

From the small screen to the boardroom, La La Anthony continues to define what it means to be a modern multi-hyphenate. Apart from his growing accolades for acting and producing, Anthony has made waves with his show ThreeSixty, and his entrepreneurial passion is documented in his bestselling guide, The Power Playbook: Rules for Independence, Money and Success. Her serial-entrepreneurial mindset is matched only by her commitment to supporting BIPOC women-led projects—a cause that is at her heart.
Now, Anthony is focusing on beauty, collaborating with Canvas Beauty founder Stormi Steele to release a lineup of her essentials—”powerful products every woman deserves in her beauty closet to boost confidence and improve daily performance.” The collaboration will be celebrated with a live TikTok event before the platform’s first awards, hosted by Anthony in the evening.
Founded in 2018, Canvas Beauty started with hair growth products and has grown into an extensive beauty line known for body glosses, scented drops and additional fragrance offerings. Steele’s leadership as founder and CEO, the brand has redefined what it means to build a modern beauty empire—she’s the first creator to make more than $1 million in sales during a single live TikTok Shop session.
Ahead of the big event, Anthony chatted with us about his connection to Canvas, his evolving aesthetic and why representation and diversity are more important than ever.
What made you decide to collaborate with the brand?
“I’ve seen Canvas on TikTok for a while and was impressed and inspired by what Stormi has built and the success she and Canvas have had. It was important to me to align with supporting Black business and champion female entrepreneurship.”
Why do you like the products?
“When I finally ordered from Canvas, I was first struck by the scent. Each glaze and roll-on has a unique and long-lasting scent. Once I put them on, I loved the combination of the products, especially the way it made my skin feel and glow.”
What beauty rule did you use to follow that you have given up?
“Very thin eyebrows! I know it’s a trend that’s coming back, but it’s just not for me.”
How has your style of beauty changed over the years?
“I’ve started paying more attention to my skin care and being consistent with my routine and the products I use. Part of the reason I partnered with Canvas is that I enjoy using the products every day, and it keeps me accountable to my routine.”
She has many iconic hairstyles. Which is your favorite?
“Last year, I went through a phase where I had red hair. I’m thinking of bringing that back in 2026.”
Why is flexibility and representation in the beauty world so important to you?
“Standing and being flexible is important to me because it’s reassuring to see that there are people like you who look like you have the same problem with their skin.
