Man, I’m proud of myself because I haven’t bought any makeup in the past month. Wild right? Me? Don’t buy makeup? BRB let me make sure the fire doesn’t fall outside. No, we’re fine. Everything is safe. But yes, like many of you, the need to buy all the new makeup releases has stuck with me. With repeated releases I feel like I already have something similar in my stash! But don’t be afraid, I still crave things I don’t need, so your job, if you choose to accept it, is to take away my influence!
Let’s start with the most important matter. Labubu Pin for Love Series. Guys, I think I’m pretty. I may need more support but all in all I made the ultimate decision NOT to buy this launch and I feel like I did something by just saying no! Do I want a small Labubu bag charm? Yes! If I wanted to spend millions of dollars trying to get one with my initial, that would be a waste. I usually say, turn around, let me get the perfect set but what’s the point? I can have a set with initials from A to M and maybe I can only use two for my first and last name. And the initials are sewn on the back of the Labubu, so, it’s not like you can hide the fact that you have a different name. It’s such a weird, pointless release. I could see myself falling hard for this presentation if the initials weren’t involved but as it is, it’s not all my fault. I saw one of my favorite creators hit W and F which are the initials of our fandom and it was like, bro, bro, wait, how did you pull those? You know I would end up pulling in a weird way if I made a blind box! If you see me walking down the street with the first X on my Labubu, just walk past and don’t say anything haha! So, yes, I managed to get myself out of this but words of encouragement are always welcome.
I think I’ve successfully pulled this off as well (with the help of some Reddit peeps). This was difficult my friends. I said NO to buying the Timestopper DVD Set. Does it come with graphics cards? Yes, does it have background images? Yes. Does it have a lot to add? Yes. Do I want to see Perth and Tata jump off the stage in sync at the same time in HD? Definitely. Do I want to spend crazy prices to buy this? Uh……………………! Not really. It’s $60 retail (slightly less) but will go back to $145 with the tariff and I’m almost like that. I don’t really care about the price but I don’t mind the wait time to ship it to the US. The wait wouldn’t bother me but the small amount of content that will be shared via edits and clips on Tiktok, IG, Reddit, and fan groups is inevitable and will take a lot from my purchase. I take solace in the good purchase I made from Mercari as I got the Timestopper Photobook and the seller was very nice as he played with me and put in a bunch of Timestopper photo cards which I feel is fine and rightly more than I need for this set. I hope to hold on to that. Wish me luck!

Dolce & Gabbana Ever Icon Eye Palette $72
I have no business looking at these. Not even looking their way but I have to admit that the Ever Icon Eyeshadow Palettes are a vibe. It seems to have the mud-like texture we all know and love from some of our favorite Japanese brands like Lavashuca and Majolica Majorca (how long have I been living right?). But to be honest, the price is not. I feel they should be at $60 and not $72 but, as we all know, makeup has gone up a notch. Costs aside do I need these? I really don’t think I have enough eyeshadow to last me through my next five lives. Do I want them? Yes, I want to test one. The heart is together, the width of the shadow, it looks beautiful, but do me a favor? You can influence me.
Charlotte Tilbury Lips Unreal Lips Healthy Glowing Nectar Oil $25
No way, dog. I don’t know about this presentation. Surely someone should stop me because I’m not 12 years old and I don’t need to stock up on lip balm like the world is ending and my lips will be dry forever because the production will stop at all lip balms as zombies eat the living. But seriously, remind me again that I don’t need another lip balm! This is actually really tempting because reviews are not sacred. They’re glossy, pigmented, comfortable to wear, moisturizing, but I think they can all look the same on the lips as they sell that old pH “one of a kind” bullsh1T that’s different for you. We’ve all heard that marketing before, am I right? That being said, dressed up, I can see myself indulging in one. You can influence me.
Dolce & Gabbana Everlast Concealer $40
It takes you back to D&G over here. I can’t say no to a new concealer. This new formulation promises crease, water, and sweat proof coverage in a lightweight matte finish that promises to blend easily under the eyes and face with a precise application tip applicator. Influence me and remind me to use another concealer that I already have.
Chanel Sublimage Le Corrector Yeux Radiant Generating Concealer Eye Care $110
To hide a lot? Crap. Chanel’s new ultra-hydrating Concealer is a light, creamy consistency that can be used to hydrate under the eyes as it conceals darkness and enhances the overall glow under the eye with light-reflecting particles. Why do I need this in my life? Do your job, you can influence me!
Lancome Skin Idôle Juicy Liquid Blush $38
Lancome’s new Juicy Liquid Blush feels like a no for me considering it’s too late to jump on the liquid blush trend and there are plenty of cheaper options available. That being said, I find myself interested enough to want to check these out. They promise a creamy formula that transitions from liquid to powder with long wear. I don’t need them but I need withdrawal.
