I joined Etsy Insider for $18 and Here’s How It Goes

I’m an Etsy girl but I readily admit that I’m cheap as hell when it comes to paying Etsy for shipping. I know, I know, Etsy is all about small businesses and artists and those businesses can’t pay the bill for shipping costs but man, it’s hard to buy a small item on Etsy and keep getting hit with shipping costs of $8 dollars or more. I feel like some of the small things I buy don’t even cost that much to ship. But I get it. Like any seller’s website Etsy charges a seller’s fee and some of it has to be passed on to the buyer. I don’t have to like it but I understand it and hey, most of my purchases are worth it.

Etsy Insider is a new program that will set you back $18 for three months of service. Membership gives you early access to new deliveries from retailers and limited edition items. But wait, the best part is that you get access to free shipping at hundreds of retailers and tons of different coupons.

I’ve always been an active Etsy shopper but lately I’ve been into my bag and phone charm season and I’ve discovered so many great artists creating amazing designs with collectibles like Skullpanda. I got two cute phone charms coming soon from the seller who designed the Skullpanda phone charms and another who made a duck phone charm to match the phone case of one of my favorites. Best of all, I got a small discount on both of these thanks to Etsy Insider membership.

This is one of the ones he created for me!

I also have a few fan meetings coming up and two concerts I’m going to soon (I’m seeing Stray Kids tomorrow. So, I have postcard bag charms all over Felix’s bag!). I ran to Etsy and found these custom postcard photo bag charms for each occasion. I already have photo cards in my collection and I know I could probably just buy photo holders on Amazon and turn those cards into charms myself but I didn’t want to destroy them as I would love to use them for autographs. If you spend good money on a photo book that comes with postcards you don’t want to wear them in your purse where they can get damaged. It was easy to take some pictures from Pinterest, send them to an Etsy artist, and have them make charms. It honestly didn’t cost all that much to make and they managed to create a cutout design in contrast to the usual postcard style that Japanese and Korean girls usually carry in their bags. I just got the Dream Voyage off eThai and it comes with a few postcards but they are legit, I can’t see myself using those cards in my wallet. I know how I am and dropping that kind of money on a photo book to damage the cards in my wallet is not easy. I’ll keep them safely tucked away.

And, the best part, I got them with a coupon code thanks to my Etsy Insider membership! It cost me $18 and so far my savings on shipping and coupons is $28 (I’ve only been a member for a month). So, yes, this sounds sponsored as hell but it’s not. Just thought I’d share as if you’re used to shopping on Etsy it might save you a buck or two! So far I like the membership and will be renewing after three months!

Anyone have this service? How does it work for you?
